Hughes Jewelry has been creating unique pieces of jewelry and carrying the latest designers from each season since the 1980s. Between its proximity to the Vail Vista Bahn and its friendly, family-run atmosphere, this store is a must stop shop. Thomas Hughes the owner/ designer/ goldsmith designs and creates beautiful custom pieces and the best collection of charms anywhere.

 

This store is also known for creating the diamond “Snowflakes of Vail” in all sizes and shapes including diamond snowflake earrings and bracelets. Five years ago, a second store location was opened in the Riverwalk Shops in Edwards, Colorado. At four times the size, this shop boasts not only a fine collection of jewelry but artwork and Roland Reed photographs from the early 1900s.

In addition, they carry hand turned wooden bowls and vases, leather frames, and hand blown glass sculptures. The valleys most extensive collection of Jay Strongwater is displayed in the stores with pins, frames, and collectibles. Hughes Jewelry features a new 18k gold and gemstone line from Brazil, Scott Kay, Mizuki, as well as many Italian Designers including Rebecca and Pianegonda.

 

The goal and philosophy of Rebecca jewelry is to offer affordable, Italian made, designer jewelry. Every design is unmatched in creativity, wear-ability and affordability. When a consumer is shopping for jewelry, “Made in Italy” is as important on a piece of jewelry as “Swiss Made” is on a fine watch.
